EVOCATIONS
In the 16th century, a missionary was the first to introduce this mystical flower in France.
Found in Central America and cultivated by the Aztecs, the tuberose flower, known as Omixochiti, owes its name to the “bony” appearance of its long, fragile white flowers.
The tuberose plant symbolizes forbidden pleasures and fullness, the flower opens at night its fragile fatty and waxy petals that give off an imposing aroma.
The flowers are still harvested when in bud and it is a popular essence in Egypt, Morocco, India and Martinique.
In the world perfumery is considered a controversial note, but many love its exuberant qualities. The tuberose accord can be made clean and creamy to suit consumer tastes, but the true beauty of this flower lies elsewhere: it is dark, voluptuous and carnal, and its smoky notes recall the heady smell of camphor.
TUBEREUSE ABSOLUE, rare jewel in the world of perfumery, tuberose is considered “la belle dame sans merci”, an intelligent and dark creature of the night, a romantic and ruthless beauty that will turn you on with passion and break your heart. TUBEREUSE ABSOLUE is an almost obsessive work on the raw material, a fragrance that will take your breath away.
